For my robot-infatuated friends at Fjord, this is a must-have.
Daniel H. Wilson has written the ultimate survival guide, “How to Survive A Robot Uprising”. From spotting a rebellious robot servant, to escaping from all-knowing smart homes, this guide will prepare you in the likely event of a man-machine showdown.
In a quick review in the Oct 2005 issue of Wired, Kathleen Craig claims the chapter on building secret bases is sure to come in handy. Cool.
Go crazy DT.

Do average minds also think alike?

I’ve secretly been snort laughing to this guy for years. I heard him on a radio interview the other day and it made me think of my friends in New York. This is a little shout out to them and Emo.
“I used to live in New York. Sometimes when I’m at home and really missing it I’ll fill my humidifier with urine” — EP
And here’s one of my long-time favorites..
“You have to get up prettty early in the morning, to catch me peeking your bedroom window.” –EP
Oh ok I can’t resist a few more…
..and always remember the last words of my grandfather, who said “A truck!” –EP
“I love to go down to the schoolyard and watch all the little children jump up and down and run around yelling and screaming…They don’t know I’m only using blanks. “–EP
If you find yourself trying not to laugh out loud, there’s plenty more out there on google.
For example..
Enjoy Friday!

My wife that is. The other night we were sitting around watching The Daily Show, when out of the blue she turned to me and said, “I wish Jenny McCarthy still had her TV show.”
Me too baby.

To my friend, experimental film-maker Scott Coleman Miller, who won the award for Best Film at the Ann Arbor Film Festival a couple weeks ago for his newest work “Uso Justo”. With a big win under his belt, he’s poised to get even greater exposure in upcoming film festivals. He has a special screening at the Mpls-St. Paul International Film Festival on April 13th, and several festivals have now contacted him requesting his film. I’ve been asking for a web version that I can post for everyone, but so far I just have to enjoy the DVD he burned for me. Its actually a pre-final version, so I’ll be selling that on eBay someday.
I had the opportunity to produce the music for his last piece, Hands Motherlode, that also screened at several festivals. Yep, I’m pretty cool now.
Nice work dude.

No fantastic insights from me today, but George has eloquently stated what has occasionally popped into my mind.
“If lobsters looked like puppies, people could never drop them in boiling water while they’re still alive. But instead, they look like science fiction monsters, so it’s okay.”
